MHA Elections Held at Unity Church

Mark Sunday, April 30th on your calendars. That’s the day the MHA holds elections for the Executive Board. Residents have stepped forward to fill at least three of the four vacancies.

Keith Ainsworth has agreed to run for Treasurer, filling the spot for Silvia Gentile. Keith is a long time resident of Mapleton Park.

Steven Gaines is tossing his hat in the ring for Vice President, a post that has remained vacant for the past year.

Former President and Management Committee Chair Debbie Feustel is running for head of the Management Committee.

The position of Secretary is still in need of a volunteer. Mark Reeder will be stepping down as the Acting Secretary on April 30th. He promises to have all the files and correspondence organized by then. Anyone interested in running for this position please contact Mark Reeder at mreeder@indrasnet.com.

The MHA has come a long way in the last ten years - from its first organizing meetings in 1996 to the present as a not for profit Corporation in the state of Colorado. Thanks to its volunteers, the MHA has done well and will continue to do well into the future.

Silvia Gentile Retiring from MHA Executive Board

She has worked to the help the Mapleton Park residents from the beginning of the Association. Thanks to her efforts, 9 homes were saved from the Goose Creek Flood Control Project. For the past four years, she has been responsible for setting up MHA's finances, bookkeeping and working with a CPA to make our federal Status as a non profit 501 (c) 3 workable. Without her, the MHA and the residents of Mapleton Park would have been in trouble a long time ago.

She is Silvia Gentile, and after four terms as the MHA’s Treasurer, Silvia is stepping down to a much deserved rest.
Most recently, Silvia worked with the MHA’s accountant, Christa Fleuwelling, to set up our tax reporting and auditing of the business. Finally, the MHA’s Federal taxes are in good hands.
The next time you see Silvia, take some time and say thank you.
